Um, could you give a little more information? Or perhaps a link. From this post I have gathered no information except that the aether 2 mod is out, and I can't even verify that. Please post more info next time. :)

Since I didn't believe him I googled it myself and stumbled upon the aether mod Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/AetherMod

And here was an interesting post I found:
Here it is! Aether 1.9 Pre-release for Minecraft 1.2.5.

http://paste.ubuntu.com/1100188/

Just copy and paste the download link in the above changelog into your browser, then download the pre-release :) We have a new and improved READ ME file which helps users through the installation process step-by-step.

Please understand that this is a pre-release, and as a result may have some bugs.

Paul needs to do a review on this ASAP. I'm gonna have a few good days of play out of this!

Well, he didn't finish his first aether tour, so here's a chance for him to redeem himself! :P
And thanks for the links, I was too lazy to google it myself. :D

I personally won't use an installer for a mod, I use the zip file of the mod and install it myself. But those installers look good for people who don't like manually adding mods.
