Signatures.

However, there are many boards out there that permit pics in sigs. What they also do is have a toggle for whether or not you see sigs. If Punchwood had this option, I would have no objection to having pics in sigs.

In my honest opinion They don't. Signatures are a form of art people create to express themselves.
It give's their profile class and style.
Yeah I'm a forums guy. and I honestly believe these forums need's a good spice up. So people can express themselves and not be bored and right away leave. I want to see people enjoy the forums and create amazing art.
By the way for those who don't know what a forum signature is. This is a forum signature.
And yes I made this myself.

EDIT: But I would still love to have pictures in our sigs

2. Use the search function
3. Remember the K.I.S.S. principle
4. Click the 'Like' button, don't post 'me too'.

I agree that can be quite a problem. I know a site that uses VBulletin has it setup so that only the user's first post on a page will display the user's signature. It doesn't completely fix the problem you have addressed since you would only need 20 different users on a page for this solution to be useless, but for it can help some. I'm not sure if it can be setup like that here though.
Since signatures have a limit of 5 lines, maybe pics in a sig could be limited to a size similar to the amount of space 5 lines (default font) would normally take up (plus a bit more). Maybe something like 150 pixels vertical which would be about 1/5 of 768. I realize it does limit what can be done in the pic but I'm just giving out ideas here that could seem like a fair-ish compromise. I'm not dead set on that size.

-Same Size, preferably a rectangle, not too big. (In this way, it would make the Forums look Nice With a neat look, not a bunch of jumbled posts and pictures)
-Limited words. (Again, to make it look near)
This is all I have, but the one thing I know is that Signatures do tend to make a forum section of a website look messy at times, so If Punchwood did allow signatures, I believe they Should make some ways to offer a system that appeals to the eye, and the artlovers of Punchwood.

That is actually a good point. Could that be implemented here though?

I'd just like to point out that there are some outlets for people's creativity in terms of art and pics. I'm fairly certain that you're allowed to make an art thread and you can also post your art in blogs (I think). It's only in signatures that pics are disabled and that's because of a technical issue, not because the admins want to stifle creativity or anything like that (at least I'd hope so). So to go with the minecraft analogy, it might be more accurate to compare this with disabling building in specific areas (like right above or below another person's home on the old MCD map).

Something like that.
Because TNT wouldn't do anything sitting there would it?

On topic, I would love for art to be displayed in signatures. Mabye there can be an option on your profile to hide or show pictures in signatures? That way the people that are annoyed by it can have it off and people that enjoy it, like myself, can have it on.
If you agree with this post or just think I'm awesome leave a like! PM me to chat! Also check out my profile!

Hmm? I was answering nock37's question about how to make a signature in the first paragraph (he did not have one at the time). In the second I replied to the OP that I would love to have pictures in signatures, people that don't like them can turn them off.
As you said, actually LOOK next time.
