Yes. This discussion is based on signatures. Reason why is because iv'e read the rules. and we can't have them I believe because It causes cluster. and or workload on the forum mods.

In my honest opinion They don't. Signatures are a form of art people create to express themselves.
It give's their profile class and style.

Yeah I'm a forums guy. and I honestly believe these forums need's a good spice up. So people can express themselves and not be bored and right away leave. I want to see people enjoy the forums and create amazing art.

By the way for those who don't know what a forum signature is. This is a forum signature.
And yes I made this myself.

I am personally fine without a picture in my signature, but I can see where your getting at. I believe because this is a family-friendly site, people may use inappropriate pictures on accident and it may end up being a huge mess with the mods having to weed it out. :/

EDIT: Plus, if a 8 year old child saw something that they shouldn't have BEFORE it was removed, I bet the parents will send Paul some angry messages...

Go to your profile, look on the right side for a black "Edit my pofile" button. Click it and you will go to another page. Look for "Signature" and click on it. Edit your signature.

On topic, I would love for art to be displayed in signatures. Mabye there can be an option on your profile to hide or show pictures in signatures? That way the people that are annoyed by it can have it off and people that enjoy it, like myself, can have it on.

I totally Understand. That's why I make Pokemon signatures not to scare children here. I just want the forums to have a more articulate thing you know?
Just needs to be set to a certain extent. No nudity gore none of that. Just anime fun stuff you know?

I didn't necessarily mean you, I meant some other people. Some people may create a account JUST to do something like that. Someone had a picture that contained nudity on a forum I was apart of, and let me tell you, the owner got some angry messages because he flat out said on the home page about what happened. :/ And I will admit, having fun little pictures would indeed spice up the forum, but I am not too sure it will happen.

Ahh I see. Signature trolling. Well thank's for summarizing it all down. It's because people think it's ok to do that on any forum. In reality it's not. It's just foolish and makes signature makers like me and others disappointed that we can't have any form of art displayed on forums.

I think you're... Very, Very right.
There's really no need for pictures IN the signature, I recommend you put a link to the album your art is in, that way people can see it, but they don't see it if they don't decide they want to see it first. :) (hope that's easy to understand  )

Oh thank's but some people won't click as some are very protective because there's people who like to hide malicious stuff with in links. I know I'm new around here. But that is and will never be My intent. My goals is to see this forum bloom and rise with new idea's art competitions and many many more things to come.

That's very nice.
Something I can really recommend is to start a thread on the "Off Topic" forums, where people can share their artwork with the rest of us.
Believe me, I doubt people will think some of the artwork there is not safe for children.
You can even make it a rule, for say: "You may not post artwork that qualifies outside of the 'Family Friendly' category."
It would be amazing if you could do that.

That's only my recommendation. Nice drawing by the way, I really like it. :)

Thank you. Also I will also make another recommendation to show proof that it's legit.

I'm a little sluggish atm in my work because iv'e recently obtianed cs6. and it's more different and amazing than cs5. Hopefully people will show me what they can do as well.

well I know it's a bit disappointing to some but this was decided early on that members as of yet shouldn't put pics in their sigs. Despite you believing that it doesn't create clutter at all, I've seen forums that let large pics in signatures and it does clutter up the page and makes me want to disable images on my browser altogether. I think with size restrictions it won't be much of a problem clutter-wise.

Allowing pics in sigs does create more work for the mods and admins, and at the time when this rule was implemented they were really busy with the application rounds and maintaining the site with thousands of people joining every day. It was probably easier to just disable pics than adding another thing they had to do to their list of duties, but now that things are a lot calmer I think this is a good time to bring this issue back up.

On a side note, I've seen people make threads dedicated to showing off their art and pics they've worked on so it's not all gloom and doom. There is an outlet for people to express their creativity, it's just not with sigs right now.

I totally understand I make 450X250 or 500X275 nothing higher than that.

This is a very good question. I think that signatures could be fun, but there is a drawback. Lots of people have offensive material for signatures and considering this is a very friendly server I think this should be overruled.

I'm with Kyurem, the forums quite honestly look boring. They need abit of colour! Signatures would fix that no problem! Just set a suitable size limit for the signature, maybe add a couple of rules regarding them and away you go! :)

I didnt even know about signitures until my sis told me about them yesterday... I think kyurem is right, I think signitures are a form of expression. Kinda like minecraft, they bring out the good in you. :)
My dad says that I'm obsessed with minecraft, but he's wrong! I only play 24/7! :P
