well, (and i feel almost like i'm making a sales pitch for a free download when i type this, but) you need to download a CURRENT edition. the creator stopped updating it and is apparently working on a super amazing version that's server compatible, but another guy kept the files up to date and introduced a basic excalibur, which to my knowledge can only be obtained by hitting the "y" key.

Remember: don't mix it with single player commands - the temptation to do pretty much anything(especially changing your spawn point) will be too much, and then all your progress is gone.

I have no 1.1 Minecraft jar so i guess i wont be ab;le to play with the Mod ever again....

I installed and played the mod perfectly fine without a 1.1 jar (used the current 1.2.5). It's still being updated, just not by the original creator (who, as has been stated, is starting on a sort of Tale of Kingdoms 2...or at least that's what the mod thread says).

its also included with the yogbox, which you can get via technic launcher.

woha, good to hear that somebody is still working on it. I like the point: "possibly all Major Bugs and some exploits fixed"... I think this was the main problem of this mod. Maybe I'll give it a chance! :)

If you've read the forum about Tale Of Kingdom, the creator tells that he's making a new mod, which should be sort of same style as the Tale Of Kingdom mod. Can't wait to see when it's done :D

TyberAlyx who is the original creator of this mod is currently working on a better and improved version of Tale of Kingdoms, can`t wait to see what he comes up with.

Paul inspired me to play this mod and I really enjoyed playing it as well as watching Paul playing it! I went really far in the mod but then I did something and all the npcs disappeared I got pretty annoyed but life goes on it's just a game:P if you ask me, it is worth to download it!

Has anybody started a city on top of a mountain or anything like that? What happens when you expand it to the other tiers?

I'm using the latest minecraft (1.4.7 for reference in the future) and the 1.4.7 updated version of the Tale of Kingdoms mod (.exe installer). The CreativeOne Medieval texture pack I use also requires mcpatcher. The only way I've been able to get them both to work is to do a fresh install of the mod or mcpatcher before playing. I keep my save files in a safe place outside of my .minecraft folder. If I don't do this I get a black screen of death with the mod or "please update to the latest mcpatcher" inside the water and the dirt looks like it's on fire.

Am I making this too complicated?

Last time I played with both I just made sure to use the MCpatcher before each game session, to Patch, just to make sure. I did not have toe install each time...but that WAS a year ago...
