I think Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition should have a connection with computer/PC players.

Explanation:
The Minecraft Edition on 360 will be able to interact with Computer hosted servers, so you can play on servers with which ever console or computer you pick. I'm not so sure this idea is possible but it would definitively be amazing if they could get it to come to life(:

It's a nice idea, but Microsoft uses the xbox live subscription fees to cover the costs of the service (plus more I am sure).  If they were to allow PC's on, they would have build in a way to check for a gamertag that has paid for xbox live.  I'm thinking that those without an xbox that want to play via PC probably don't have any reason to have an xbox live account and so I think it starts to fall apart.  I personally would prefer it as I am not a fan of the controls on xbox.  I thought I would like it, but I don't. Too slow.

'tis but a scratch! I've had worse. It's just a flesh wound.

I can't see that happening any time soon. The PC/Mac implementation is much more up to date than the XBOX code, so having them on the same server simply wouldn't work. Maybe once (if) the XBOX catches up it could be done.

Even once the features match there would be an issue with the huge difference in world sizes.
1. Don't dig straight down
2. Use the search function
3. Remember the K.I.S.S. principle
4. Click the 'Like' button, don't post 'me too'.

Your completely right, the Xbox is not quite up to date, comparing to PC & Mac.

even if the xbox version is updated to current pc. the xbox version has some limitations. first being the world size as 1024x1024. second being that the xbox has a hard time running the game as it is. but ya a pc xbox link would be cool but microsoft wont do it. we still don't have an internet browser for the xbox.

Nice idea but the Xbox version and the PC version are diffrent which would mean they would have to be on the same version for them to work.
