He's right. You can very easily make your own. GIMP and Pain.net are free, so that's even better.

Painteryly is a great system.  But they don't provide a global setting to just pick the Standard Minecraft Default, as a starting point for your changes.  That makes it much harder when you only want to tweek it a little (like just tween glass).

My real problem is where can I get the original default minecraft texture!  I looking in the 'jar' file (mentioned for a 1.2.4 texture) but can't see it.
In My first world, I built a 'Sky Sphere', with portal only access Facebook Photo Album
On the JadCraft Whitelisted SMP server I built a Tower of Power, a Trading Village, and a Volcano
What do I build next.. well that depends on the new server I join.

I made my own texture pack :P it isn't hard mate just look at a Youtube video u just have to open the minecraft.jar and copy EVERYthing and delete some specific files till you have Some left those are all .PNG images just use Paint.net (mostly recommended by me) and change it the way you like! the bad thing about this is when theres update u have to figure out where those "new blocks" are in all the files and change it but if u need help just ask i might can answer. since i made my own TEXT pack :P.

Greetings, CreepieMen

I've used Adobe Illustrator CS5 to create packs in the past.

Pretty much, you are able to use any photo-editing software that supports a "transparency" feature.

How do you use paint.net to do that?
