Hey guys!!!

Who here has a favorite mining technique that is just EPIC, or who wants to get some ideas?

Well this is the thread for you! Tell me your favorite mining techniques! Just leave a comment below. :)

My favorite is Branch Mining in layers 2-16 of the map (so I can find diamond) so far, I have got 1 stack of 64 diamonds, plus enough to make a set of diamond tools.

Thanks!

-Agy

To kill a chicken, or not to kill a chicken...? That is the real question.

I make a vertical shaft with ladders then branch mine at diamond layers
Sticks and stones can break my bones,
And words can give me heartache,
But all my sorrow, won't last till tomorrow,
Because my savior Jesus loves me!

my mining technique is to branch mine at lvl 10 and have each tunnel 3 blocks apart and that will make it so u don't miss any diamonds, gold and iron etc.

X-ray is cool, but I prefer to play legit. The only time I ever used x-ray was when I hear lava from inside of my house, and I freaked out, and then I realized it was my lava lamp.

I used to click mine.
But now it's impossible! With the integration of SMP into SSP click mining doesn't work even in ssp
Well, I guess what I have to continue doing now is the branch mining and spelunking the caves I find.
Still, enchantments did make the click mining pretty useless =P

I dig a 2x2 staircase all the way to bedrock, then I dig a 5x5 tunnel for about 20 blocks. After that, I dig a 1x1 hole every 1 block of the tunnel wall. I then place TNT in the holes and light them up. Hello, minerals!

Well I think phoenix mining is the best method, yields a lot of ores depending on what layer you're at. I like to do it at either layer 35 or layer 16.

I use a honeycomb-like technique, it works extremely well in layers 2-16

if you were to come across diamonds by using that technique, the entity would most likely be destroyed by the explosion, but explosions are cool!, so that makes it okay!

My mining technique is going in natural caverns and mine all the ores I can find. Sometimes I make a stairway down to bedrock, but that feels cheesy to me.
