I installed this mod the way you put it in the spoiler, but when I open single player, minecraft crashes! the only thing that I didn't do was install modloader,
because it was crashing my game! And yes, I deleted the META-INF folder! This happened twice!

Okay. So you actually need modloader to install the mod correctly. My instructions work correctly, and actually go more in-depth than the instructions on TerraFirmaCraft.com. Ergo, it's not my fault that something is bugged on your Minecraft, though I am willing to help. Drop me a PM if you'd like my assistance, or you can Google "modloader crashes my minecraft" and work from there.

I'm open to helping anyone, as long as they're willing to learn a little. +1 for you for trying it.

I did that, but what happened was it showed mojang for one second and then turned white and won't change.

I installed this mod for one purpose.

To make minecraft harder.

EDIT: Dang, they added a lot to this mod.  I started following TFC (TerraFirmaCraft) at the very beginning and they added a lot of stuff since I last checked, I mean, Ages?! This is incredible so excited to update.

I've merged this with the long standing TFC thread, there is also a thread here suggesting that Paul do TFC.

It has a bit of a learning curve so it would almost be like him doing his original Survive and Thrive series which would be great. I'm not sure if he would have the time for it though as he has been pretty busy these days and has quite a few commitments.

On a side note Generikb has just started an LP on TFC, it will be interesting to see how he copes, hopefully he will get enough views to keep it running. Spumwack did the last decent LP that I have watched although Crysyn's series was good while he was doing it too.

Watch GenerikB's first episode - for a guy who does not seem to know what he is doing he is doing a darn good job.  I'm scared to try TFC at anything but peaceful and after watching him, and playing on the server where they had it at a higher level, I am thinking of playing a Man vs. TerraFirmaCraft series.  Just need to think of some good rules.

I still need to watch Generikb's gameplay on playing TRC. Also I never thought of playing the mod, because I never looked in to it to see what's about until now. So this will be a mod I will try very soon.

The thing is, looking at this, it seems like it would be very hard to do building projects, so it would only be good for a survival aspect. Just my opinion, and I don't know much about the mod so correct me if otherwise because I have no idea what I'm talking about

Actually no, last time I played TFC had implemented microiblocks. Using a chisel you can shape blocks in many ways and save the design as a plan. On top of that TFC has a lot more wood and stone types and textures so you really have a lot of options when it comes to builds. You just want to make sure your work-site is well lit

I have actually tried this mod it is very complex you have to pick up rocks from the ground and stuff to make a weapon. And you can't just mine wood with ur hands, you need an axe.
