Hey, G2Wall here! I was just wondering if anyone knows a good way to compress Fraps video files!

I have a ton of recorded footage on my desktop, and I want to upload it, but they each take over three ours to upload!

Please help, and thank you!

An idea I have is to use a program like handbreak and change it to a different format (such as m4v or MP4) which should also make it smaller, you should use web optimized as well.

I am not sure, but I think Paul said what he uses in one of his Behind the scenes MVM videos. :)

You should convert it to h264, it's the best video file format
Minecraft should not be that awesome without redstone...

Moved to technical support.

I use VirtualDub to resave the files, and the Xvid codec to compress them. They are often 7-9x smaller and exactly the same quality.

I am personaly, thanks to Paul, started using Adobe Premiere Elements 10 (I bought it) for editing and other stuff... for compression, again thanks to Paul, i am using Freemake Video Converter. Best way is to convert it to MP4 with h264 video format... From a 2GB video you can get 500MB, with not much loss of quality (unfortunately I do see less quality, I have an eye for this stuff... I can see difference with lower quality videos and also i can hear difference between bit rate of sound)

This is what I do, because there's no loss of quality.

Thank you so much. I had a 4gb video, but then after I used this, it took 10 minutes to upload!
