I like Civilization Revolution and Civilization 5.

If Facebook/twitter/etc were destroyed, 90% of teens would go insane. If you are one of the 10% who wouldn't go crazy, copy this into your sig and hope it happens!

Mine is Civilization 3. That is the Civ that I grew up with, and it will always remain special to me.   :)

I have never played a proper turn based strategy I have thought about buying Civ 5 but I never have any money so if there are any really cheap but good TBS's then can you please post some games below. (when I say cheap I mean Australia cheap not America cheap)

Fun Fact about Halo 3: It was never rendered in true HD but in 1140x640 and took advantage of dynamic lighting. Making it the best looking low definition game I have ever played

Probably Civilization 4, it is the only one I can really think of off the top of my  head. Plus, when  originnaly got it, I was addicted for months.

To this day one of my all time favourite TBS games is Front Mission 3 for the PS1 (I now have a digital copy on my PS3).
"The most important quality in a commander is a lack of stupidity." – Karlees Navarre.

"Only the smallest mind strives to comprehend it's limits." – Fabricator General Kane.

Ooh turn based strategy. I suppose the X-COM series and the UFO series count as turn based strategies. I think.
'And the Elder Scrolls have foretold of black wings in the cold that when brothers wage war come unfurled. Alduin, Bane of Kings, with a hunger to swallow the world.'
'But a day shall arise when the dark dragon's lies will be silenced forever and then, fair Skyrim will be free from foul Alduin's maw.'
'Ahrk fin Kel lost prodah, do ved viing ko fin krah, Tol fod zeymah win kein meyz fundein! Alduin, feyn do jun, kruziik vokun staadnau, Voth aan bahlok wah diivon fin lein!'
'Nuz aan sul, fent alok, fod fin vul dovah nok, Fen kos nahlot mahfaeraak ahrk ruz! Paaz Keizaal fen kos stin nol bein Alduin jot!'
Part of Dragonborn, Skyrim's Theme. English and then in the Dragon Language.

'No-one would have believed, in the last years of the nineteenth century, that human affairs were being watched from the timeless worlds of space. No-one could have dreamed that we were being scrutinized, as someone with a Microscope studies the creatures that swarm and multiply in a drop of water. Few men even considered the possiblity of life on other planets, and yet, across the gulf of space, minds immeasurably superior to ours, regarded this Earth with envious eyes. And slowly, and surely, they drew their plans against us...'
The War of the Worlds. Speaking of that, go listen to Jeff Wayne's musical version of the War of the Worlds. It's a great album. Totally worth a listen.
