I'm here today to discuss Lord of the Rings online! Does anyone else play it? Favourite classes? What are your characters and levels? Favourite skirmish?
One of my character names in Gunthorian. Add it if you wish. It's a level 29 Minstrel and kind of need help on a few quests.

the beauty of LOTRO is in the amount of non-combat fun you can have. Given I haven't played since high end Moria, but I am sure all that stuff is still in them. We used to put on concerts with our in game cover band, there is an actual music mechanic to the game, we used to play a bunch of Beetles and Led Zeppelin. We also used to get together and create comic books by having people dress up using the really cool costume system LOTRO has and taking screenshots. I guess you can do that in WoW, but LOTRO has a ton of costume sets and wearable items that are only for show. The festivals put WOW festivals to shame. They had drunken races where you run around the shire getting more and more wasted, they have horse races at various tracks where you actually ride the horses while you race them. Their pipe weed system is pretty fun too. Each does a different smoke trick, like swimming fish or sailing boats. You have to do rare combinations with seeds and all that to find them.
Some of the boss fights were much more fun than WoW too. Some felt much more like an action game than an MMO, having to hide behind pillars so the boss would grab and knock the pillars over on itself. Then you had the Watcher in the Water fight, which was amazingly cool.
I enjoyed my couple of years in LOTRO way more than I did in my many years of EQ and WoW that I did.

That aside, I loved the crafting/professions system (I forget what they called it) and the combat was interesting. All the abilities my character had were a bit overwhelming.
