Eh... I guess I'll spoiler-tag my thoughts as well, just in case.
And also, after having watched Marriland's insane one-week playthrough of Black2, some quick thoughts:

I've always felt that way anyway... I mean, anime-wise, people like Misty and Brock, maybe not so much. How THEY got the rights to be Gym Leaders at such low levels, I'll never know/probably didn't see that episode. But yeah, especially since (that guy) has a gym in the back of a school sports yard, I'd say he's not fighting serious.

From what I can see, if you only owned one version, it's probably best to buy the opposite-color sequel.....not completely sure on that though. But it seems that version exclusives(such as mandibuzz) are the same, so if you bought the same version as before, you'd be stuck with the same pokemon. Also, it almost seems like the game is mostly for continuing the story, and getting a few extra legendaries eventually. I think anyone could do fine skipping on the originals altogether, if it wasn't for story. The only thing that bugs me about that, is that story in Pokemon is usually negligible; you usually play for the post-game stuff because it's the only part of the game that can be "replayed"(since you'd never want to totally restart your game if you're trying to 'catch them all').
I'm sure I'll still get it of course(and likely get White2 since I have Black1). But to a small point, it almost feels like it should be called 'Pokemon Black/White 2.0' to imply that it's what they wanted the first two games to be, but weren't. To the point that, if they released Keldo and the singing-pokemon to the first games, I would be very tempted to skip BW2 altogether. Definitely not hating on BW2, just trying to think efficiently in terms of how much money I likely won't have by the time they release. Otherwise yeah, straight up buy them no prob. Who knows, maybe this could be the first series that you could easily restart the story-mode of a Pokemon game with little regret, and be glad about it, since you could get most of those pokemon from the first two games. *shrug*
I guess I just wish that this was the Sapphire/Ruby/Emerald remake with the Gen-V engine. Although, I feel like this could open the way for better much story for any future gens on 3DS. And secretly, it makes me wish they would do an all out awesome 'Fire Red 2 and Green Leaf 2' scenario, where everything is almost in the same places, but your starting place is changed, the towns have grown up into cities, and Johto was opened up to you early on. And then the story would be given as much or more focus than BW2....with maybe the option to redo the story in a sort of New Game+ mode, sans any legendaries you caught of course. But now I'm REALLY going outside of the likelihood of what could happen... XD

Actually, if you played White, you should get White 2, story wise anyway. In white, N gets Reshiram. In White 2, N will have Reshiram and you can catch Reshiram where as in White you caught Zekrom. The opposite is true for Black and Black 2.
