Pokémon is a RPG set in fictional 'regions' that are based off of real life locations. Your goal is to capture and train creatures called Pokémon, collect gym badges, and challenge the Elite Four to become the Pokémon Champion.

Red/Blue were ok. I personally had yellow with the special yellow version Gameboy. My fave one was Silver, but now my fave is SoulSilver.

But yeah. I've been a fan of the series since it came out. My favourite games would have to be Silver, HeartGold, and Yellow. Black and White are up there too. They were extremely well made.

I used to battle competitively; EV's, IV's, all that good stuff. But since I had to focus on other things I sorta just quit. I haven't picked it back up yet, but I bet I will sometime.

Also, BW2 is looking cool! Everything's shaping up nicely, I can't wait to see what other things will be included.

Pokemon games are great, It's unfortunate a lot of people write off as kiddy because the fighting and breeding systems are quite complex.

Did anyone see the new trailer for BW2? Excellent animation.

I love pokemon, played R/C/LG/D/SS/W, Crystal was my favorite but I also really like BW. It's a shame some people won't give the new games a chance because they have their nostalgia goggles on too tight.

Let's talk about favorite types, mine is Dark and Dragon.

The trailer for pokemon black 2 and white 2 looks amazing. That 4 minutes is way better than the past 3+ seasons combined.

Finally found the Pokemon thread. Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 reservations have actually already begun in my town. An estimated January release. In preparation I have begun EV training a team of bug type Pokemon who I shall probably use to beat B2W2. They'll be around level 30 more or less by the time they're done so I need to get through about the half the game before I use them or they won't listen to me, but that's okay. I can always just train Oshawott, a Lillipup, and maybe a roggenrolla and a blitzle in the meantime.

Then you should play it. Black and White was a fantastic generation. It's just that not enough people are giving it a chance.

i've only played up to gen IV.  after heartgold, i stopped buying the games(never had enough free time to really play), or as i like to say, back before genwuners came into being.

In my opinion, genwunners have been around since Gold and Silver. They really gained popped up after Diamond and Pearl released. Now they're everywhere. What I don't understand is what they're complaining about. They just don't seem to even give other generations a chance.

Pokemon is one of my favorite series from Nintendo, can't wait until Pokemon Black and White 2, also my favorite Pokemon is Charizard.
